Since 1955
Our Company
A family business, built one truck at a time, on the island it still serves.
P&M Reis Trucking is a family-owned business formed in 1955 by Myles and Priscilla Reis. The company's core services from the outset were residential and commercial rubbish removal and excavation.
Through the company's evolution, general trucking and freight delivery as well as local household moving were added and later discontinued — but rubbish removal and excavation have always formed the core of Reis Trucking.
During the 1990s a building boom on the island drove significant expansion in both the rubbish and excavation businesses, along with the addition of a ready-mix concrete plant and a fleet of roll-off trucks and containers to serve the building industry.
In 1995, ownership and management of the company passed to Myles Jr. and Roberta Reis. Charlie O'Neil, Operations Manager, and Ernie Strang, Excavation Manager, round out the Reis Trucking management team.
How We Work
What seventy years on one island teaches you
Island-based, island-equipped
Our trucks, excavators, concrete plant, roll-off containers, and materials yard are all here. Nothing waits on a ferry.
Licensed & certified
Title V certified septic inspection and installation. A recycling and composting facility fully licensed by MassDEP.
We know the ground
Soil types, groundwater, weather, and how to sequence a job to avoid rework — knowledge we share with owners and the other trades on site.
Every day, all year
Commercial routes run 7 days a week, 365 days a year. When the island is busiest, so are we.
